This two-part training will provide an overview of the San Mateo County documentation standards for writing progress notes.  Participants will review the definition of medical necessity and how one can maintain a strengths-focus while also meeting medical necessity requirements.  In this session participants will work with the concept of functional impairments – how to identify them and create interventions that help to overcome these barriers.

  • Evaluate language as person-centered or not.
